Level 1 Swim Teacher
Swim Teacher Level 1 is the first step in the certified swim teachers system and will prepare you to teach beginner swimmers from ages of 3 to 17. The focus is on safety in and around the water and setting the foundations for individual swim styles.
What Will You Learn?
Level 1 Swim Teachers are able to apply the best techniques and goals for the youngest of swimmers.
Comfort via repetition is key for training the swim teacher and this is achieved through home study programs, classroom instruction, multimedia presentations and in-water training.
What Will You Do?

Complete all academic sections and assessments as outlined in the Level 1 Swim Teacher Instructor Manual.

Complete a Level 1 Swim Teacher final exam with a passing score of 90%.

Complete at least twelve (12) hours of apprenticeship training.
Course Prerequisites

Minum age: 18 years old

Swim ability:
-
100 meters head up front crawl
-
25 meters front crawl
-
25 meters elemental back
-
2 meters underwater dive
Equipment Requirements
During all in-water training sessions, each student must be equipped with a properly fitted Total Swim System that includes:
- Swim Suit
- Skin and sun exposure protection appropriate to the environment
During all in-water training, each SSI Professional must be equipped with at least all student equipment.
